November 26, 7pm
Karen has been obsessed with transit and the role they can and do play in communities and neighbourhoods since 2007. For the past four years, she’s been involved in public transit-related projects and advocacy with the Vancouver Public Space Network, a grassroots non-profit doing outreach and education on Vancouver’s public spaces. She works on civic technology projects that make the urban experience more enjoyable, inclusive, and sustainable.
Karen will talk at Forum about how transit makes Vancouver livable, what decisions about transportation are on the horizon, who’s making them, what’s at stake and the growing coalition of citizens, advocates and business owners making sure we get it right, in an engaging and enlightening discussion about the complex systems that make cities go (or stop).
Tickets are $12. Register today to get your seat, and we look forward to seeing you at 7pm on Tuesday, November 26.
Forum is our speaker series that features a small group in our comfortable studio space with food and drink provided. The format emphasizes interaction with speakers and a focus on topics from outside our normal tech-filled lives. To recommend a speaker, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
